The short answer:
A week long break or deload is fine, and can all you to recover properly.
You may choose to lower weight amounts, or volume (sets and reps) to allow your muscle to recovery while still keeping your body active.
I'd still recommend that you warm up, stretch, foam roll, and go through your target athletic movements.
Use your tacking sheets to help you understand proper timing for "breaks" or deloading periods to recover muscles and CNS.
